Plan your Peoria St. Patrick's Day: Here are 9 parades, parties and more

Whether it's parades, parties or music — the Peoria area has its share of St. Patrick's Day celebrations planned for this Sunday. Here's a look at a few:

St. Patrick's Day parade

The 42nd annual St. Patrick's Day Parade steps off at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 17, at the corner of Fayette and Monroe Street in downtown Peoria, following Monroe to Main Street, Main Street to Adams and ending at Adams and Fayette.

St. Patrick's Day street party

Kelleher's Irish Pub, 619 SW Water St., is hosting its annual St. Patrick's Day celebration on Sunday, March 17. Turas will perform during the day, and breakfast will be served beginning at 9:30 a.m. There will be Irish food and drink specials all day, including Pattish Irish Stout on draft. There will be a live DJ outside, and the street will be blocked off for a street party.

Party at Jack's on Adams

Jack's on Adams, 107 SW Adams St., will host St. Pat's at Jack's beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday, March 17. The beer garden will be open and food specials will include breakfast burritos and breakfast pizza. The event will also include live music from The Easy Riders and Brainchild beginning at noon.

Jimmy's 42nd St. Patrick's Day

Jimmy's Bar will host its 42nd St. Patrick's Day party beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday, March 17, at 2801 W. Farmington Road, West Peoria. Food will be available starting at noon and includes corned beef, Irish stew, fish and chips and Irish nachos. The event will also include live music.

St. Patrick's Day at Brienzo's

Brienzo's, 4450 N. Propect Road, Peoria Heights, will open their doors at 11 a.m. Sunday, March 17, to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Their special menu will include Guinness reuben pizza and there will be several drink specials. Brewers Distributing will also be onsite with a special tasting of their new product, Carbliss, at 3:30 p.m.

Party all weekend at Oliver's

Oliver's in the Heights, 1231 E. Samuel Ave., Peoria Heights, will host St. Patrick's Day parties on Saturday, March 16, and Sunday, March 17. There will be live music from Top 4D from 9 p.m. to Midnight Saturday and 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. There will also be several food and drink specials both days.

North Peoria St. Patrick's party

The Fox Pub, 7800 N. Sommer St., Suite 302, will host a St. Patrick's Day celebration. Doors will open on Sunday, March 17, at 9 a.m. for Irish breakfast and Sham Rock & Roll from 10 a.m. to noon with special musical guests Michigander and Michael Marcagi. Lunch will include corned beef and cabbage and other Irish features. The event will also include live music and performances by Flynn's Irish Dancers.

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day on the water

Kuchie's on the Water, 579 Wesley Road, Creve Coeur, will open at 11 a.m. Sunday, March 17, for St. Patrick's Day festivities. Food specials will include corned beef and cabbage, reubens and their giant pretzel, stuffed reuben style. The event will also include drink specials and Irish music all day.

St. Patrick's bash in Chillicothe

Castaways Bar & Grill, 1707 N. Fourth St., Chillicothe, will host a St. Patrick's Day bash beginning at 11 a.m. Sunday, March 17. Irish favorites, including corned beef and cabbage, Reuben sandwiches and pizzas and corned beef horseshoes, will be served all day. The event will also include drink specials and entertainment from DJ Mara at noon.
