Mark S. Gibson, 60, of East Peoria passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at his home.
He was born on May 6, 1963, in Springfield, Illinois, to George and Joyce Gibson. Mark married Marsha Furrer on October 31, 1986, in Peoria.
Surviving are his wife, Marsha Gibson of East Peoria; children, Josh (Allison) Gibson of Los Angeles, Calif., Brittainy (Eric) Hammond of East Peoria and Clayton Gibson of East Peoria; grandchildren, Novalee, Curtis, Jakob, Ava, Cora and Jasmine; parents, George and Joyce Gibson; and sister, Pat (Bob) Lutton.
Mark worked at Morton Machine, prior to working for JH Benedict Co. Inc.
He was an avid wood worker with his saw mill. Mark enjoyed vacationing with his family on the land he owns in Kentucky.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton is handling arrangements.
